Rekonstrukcja historycznego przejścia granicznego z czasów zaborów carskiej Rosji i Austro-Węgier znajduje się w Bukowinie.

Po pierwszym rozbiorze Polski w 1772 roku wieś weszła w skład zaboru austriackiego, w Królestwie Galicji i Lodomerii, najpierw w powiecie Ulanów, a później Nisko. W okresie zaborów, od 1772 do 1918 roku, miejscowość pozostawała po stronie austriackiej. Ze względu na bliskość granicy mieszkańcy Bukowiny zajmowali się przemytem towarów przez granicę między zaborami.

W 2015 roku gmina Ulanów postanowiła upamiętnić ten historyczny aspekt, budując symboliczne przejście graniczne, które nawiązuje do dawnych czasów Austro-Węgier i Rosji.
