Muzeum Powstańców Wielkopolskich w Lusowie

     Muzeum Powstańców Wielkopolskich w Lusowie to placówka, która gromadzi zbiory związane z Powstaniem Wielkopolskim oraz z postacią generała Józefa Dowbora-Muśnickiego, który mieszkał w Lusowie w latach 1920-1937.

 

     Muzeum zostało otwarte 2 września 1996 roku i początkowo funkcjonowało w sali miejscowej szkoły podstawowej przy ul. Nowej 6. W grudniu 2008 roku placówka przeniosła się do nowego budynku przy ulicy Ogrodowej 1, który został wybudowany z funduszy gminy i mieści także inne instytucje kulturalne, w tym bibliotekę gminną. Urządzenie muzeum sfinansowane zostało przez Towarzystwo Pamięci Generała Józefa Dowbora Muśnickiego, z siedzibą w Lusowie.

 

     W muzeum można znaleźć bogaty zbiór oryginalnych dokumentów, map, fotografii, sztandarów, mundurów, militariów, modeli oraz innych pamiątek związanych z działalnością placówki. Eksponaty te stanowią cenne świadectwo historii i pamięci o wydarzeniach związanych z powstaniem oraz postaci generała Dowbora-Muśnickiego.
