   Punkt obserwacji jest częścią systemu obronnego nadmorskiego obszaru Polski, który był ważny podczas różnych okresów historycznych. W trakcie działań fortyfikacje były budowane i rozbudowywane, aby bronić wybrzeża i zapewnić obronę przed ewentualnymi zagrożeniami. 

 

   Lewy Punkt Obserwacji Dwubocznej 3BAS w Juracie pełnił funkcję obserwacyjną i nadzorczą, co pozwalało na monitorowanie aktywności na morzu oraz ewentualne działania wroga. Takie punkty obserwacyjne były częścią większego systemu fortyfikacji i obrony wybrzeża. Obiekty wchodzące w jego skład znajdują się między Helem a Juratą, w miejscowości Hel Bór. Punkt powstał w latach 1956-59. 

 

   Obecnie, wiele z tych historycznych fortyfikacji jest zachowanych jako dziedzictwo kulturowe i turystyczne atrakcje.
