Latarnia Morska w Kołobrzegu została zbudowana w latach 70-tych XVII wieku, a obecna wieża, która ma wysokość 26 metrów, powstała w 1945 roku. Jej poprzedniczka została wysadzona przez Niemców podczas wojny w 1945 r. ponieważ stanowiła punkt orientacyjny dla polskiej artylerii w czasie walk o Kołobrzeg.

 

Obecnie Latarnia Morska w Kołobrzegu jest czynna i emituje światło na wysokości 36 m n.p.m. o zasięg ok 16 mil morskich (ok 29 km). Latarnia w Kołobrzegu jest również udostępniona dla turystów, którzy chętnie odwiedzają to miejsce, aby podziwiać piękny widok z tarasu widokowego.
